I've never found the right clothes match this gorgeous belt on. Everything seems awkward with this belt. But now with the high-waist swashy skirt trend, this belt comes in handy after all!

It's been a long two years since I purchased the belt from Uniqlo from one of my trips to Shanghai. I wandered through the stores for an hour or so and found absolutely nothing that impresses me. (Maybe I don't dig its T-shirts or it's a relatively new store without much variety) Then I saw the belt hanging off a rack in a quiet corner and I blew SG$35 at the snap of the fingers.

playsuits

Not sure if you've noticed, playsuits (or jumpsuits some may like to call) are gaining the respectable pedestal in the fashion scene. A playsuit look pretty much like a shirt-dress, except it features shorts instead.

The simple cut of the one-piece suit would go very well with signature pumps and/or a good waist belt. Fool-proof look to accentuate a girl's figure and legs. Slip on a pair of gladiator sandals or summer wedges for daytime casual or glam up with patent pumps for night-time seduction.

Unless you are a big fan of Prison Break, you may want to steer clear from loud gaudy colours (think: orange).

Silk Patterned Playsuit from TopShop

In my humble opinion, the one above from TopShop looks a tad like a grandmama's pjs. Try darker colours for beginners. Be careful with floral patterns (though it's making its presence strong in the summer). You don't want to over-accessorise and risk looking 80's and vulgur.

I used to like the idea of tapered jeans at the ankles. Somehow now I don't. Or maybe it was bad alteration.

I don't know why I did it, but I rolled the cuffs of my odd-length jeans just to make away with the odd sight of the jeans tapering off right at my ankle. And it looks pretty good!

Today also marks the debut of my Anne Klein Wedges! It was bought, 6 months ago, in half size too small (50% sale! Die die must buy) and I have been stuffing the shoes with loads of damp newspaper. 'Pray tell that it fits,' as I slipped my feet into them and tada!

dressing room shenanigan

High-waisted skirts aren't the only ones dominating the women's torso these days. I like the shorts version too. The cuts and designs are certainly working to enunciate the coming of butts. Yes, backside, bum, butt whatever you call it. It has another name - sexy. Hah!

It's a pity that this pair of high-waisted shorts is a size too big for me. Otherwise...

To pair a silk dress with a washed-out denim jacket. The Mother thought it's a bad idea. But I think it's pretty playful - semi-glam semi-casual. Then topping it off with my new Wayfarer shades, isn't it a convenient look throughout the day?
