xing jia ju yi!

It's the first time ever in many years, that the weather's cool and comfy during the Lunar New Year. Indicative of the changing climate eh?

Anyways, it's spring time! (Supposedly) What better time to don lovely pastel colours?

Not a big fan of tights but, I'm definitely loving stockings and garter belts.

stepford wife

At least that's what The Boyfriend thought I looked like - prim and proper. Well, good news for me because *raises eyebrows* I'm having dinner with his entire family.

P.S.: Those gold military-inspired buttons seem to add a lil sparkle to the other-wise plain dress. Love it.

just this last time

I've been telling myself to save up for an exotic getaway with The Boyfriend to Koh Samed - a really secluded beautiful island in Thailand.

So I promised myself that this pair of wonderfully gorgeous Enzo Angiolini Easocal Dark Grey Suede in 3.5inches heels will be the last pair of sole purchase this year. Then I recalled I said the same thing for the Zoe Witther PIP Black Patent Ankle Boots. And the stacked platform peep-toe sandals. And the Anne Klein Black Patent Wedges.

good morning love

Tis the season to fall in love and wear short skirts! Screw the recession. We need shorter hem lines to boost the bearish economy. Besides, tight skirts are good for withstanding the stronger-than-usual wind experienced on this sunny island!

here's one for first day of work

The recent festives/holidays reeling in one after the other, has got me snowed in quite a bit. Some got married, some celebrated their birthdays and a few home parties to attend. Amidst the 'chaos', I realised I haven't taken a single decent picture to show you what I wore -_-"

Excuse my rather grim look; the sun was shining a tad brightly at my sleepy face.

3.5" Peep-toe Satin Pump with Ribbon Detail in Fuschia

This is SWEETNESS overdose. Goes well with a white wedding dress. I think. =)

There's a round-toe pump in cobalt. Just as adorable.

I think I've been fussing too much over pinkish stuff these days. I used to eye them with disdain. Must be the love hormones.

misty-moistly dripply-dropply foggy-boggy stuff

Year-end in Singapore spells rain. It means the air is clammier than usual. But also the best (and probably the only!) time to bring out the boots (no pictures from yesterday) and wrap the shawl around my slender neck. Hah!

how it should be

I'm still searching around for the ideal dress to The Crazy Boyfriend's house during Lunar New year. What I find on the Internet is wayyy better than what I've been seeing on the streets (i.e. Orchard Road).

Coral Alabri Square Neck Chiffon Dress (Paul & Joe)

Pink Layered Dress (Tara Jarmon)

Palomina Dress (PPQ)
Jaquard Print Dress (Alexander McQueen)

Yellow Optional Strapless Dress (See by Chloé)

Pleated Dress (Pringle 1815)

Seriously, senseless flashing of redness is disgusting. Or at least I think poorly made dresses in red makes me cringe. It's spring! Dress cheerily, not cheaply.

eve

Birthday eve, and I'm desperately nursing a bad case of cold. A refreshing change of new (and darker) hair colour helped to lift the mood up. For a while.

Still,
Joyeux Anniversaire.

a more cheery monday

I look like a bumble bee. I steer clear of horizontal stripes as much as possible (though me thinks guys in strippy rugby shirts are sexy). But when opportunity presents me a cute playsuit at a ridiculously 90%-off sale... I give it a try.

Is it supposed to be a drop-crotch? I'm still figuring.

Oh by the way, have I told you lately that I'm obsessed with my ankle boots? I wanna grab a few more pairs off the shelf!
